I am a Senior Researcher / Senior Data Scientist at the Public Policy Group, ETH Zurich, and Immigration Policy Lab (ETH/Stanford). Previously, I was at the Economic and Social Research Institute, Dublin. I hold an MSc in Economics from University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Economics from Heriot-Watt University.

Research

My PhD thesis combined machine learning and spatial econometrics; both from an applied and theoretical perspective. I have strong interest in applied econometrics, causal inference and machine learning.

Policy

I have worked on policy projects for governmental organisations in UK, Ireland and Switzerland. Recently, I have evaluated a prioritisation policy for the Swiss Economic Ministry. When working at the ESRI in Dublin, I have evaluated the impact of rent regulation in Ireland. From 2013 to 2017, I compiled and analysed data on energy statistics for the Statistical Review of World Energy, a free resource for international energy data.
